The biggest revelation from Out Loud! on 3/5/18 is that the Midwest Dramatist Center conference changed my life and set my writing career on a new trajectory. I wouldn’t have won OCTA without it, and I wouldn’t have known that my plays resonated with others.
Warren Deckert was kind enough to have a talk back for Route 84 after the show. The biggest thing I learned is what I love about the play is what I need to keep. I am getting so many different opinions and reflections that I can change my play to be what I think other people want to hear. But I’ve got to do what I want with this one.
